    Chickpea export requirements

    The main requirements to be able to export chickpeas will depend on whether they are grains or chickpea flour.

    In the case of grains, something important to take into account is that the price to be paid to export depends on the size of the chickpea, i.e. its diameter (according to Law 21.453) and it also has an official price (RUCA).

    SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) performs a slight phytosanitary intervention, but the requirements of the country of export destination must always be complied with.

    Main customers abroad

    We have important customers abroad who buy our kabuli chickpeas to process them, commercialize them and manufacture different products at really competitive prices, which are a real business opportunity.

    Kabuli chickpea harvesting and production periods

    Our kabuli chickpeas are harvested during the first two weeks of November to avoid the heavy rains that start at that time of the year and become more frequent during the summer.

    The Andean and central region of Argentina is the preferred territory where the sowing and cultivation of our chickpeas is carried out, due to the specific and adequate climatic conditions for the growth of the seeds.
